Scheduling Appointments

Before we can schedule your first appointment we need a completed New Patient Form or call our office and request an online fillable form be emailed to you.

Our office appreciates your promptness in arriving for your child’s dental visit and we reserve a specific time for your child according to their dental needs and level of cooperation. We require that younger, pre-school and grade school age children (age 9 & under) be scheduled for treatment early in the day when they are more rested, alert and receptive to treatment.

Scheduling Specifics

Please be aware that before and after school appointment times are in high demand and therefore will always have limited availability. In some instances it will be necessary for your child to miss part of their school day for their dental treatment. Dental appointments are excused absences from school and we will gladly provide a school excuse form for your child.

We value your time and will do our best to remain on schedule throughout the day. We do ask that you please remember that some patients may require more patience and emergencies can throw off our schedule. We ask for your patience and that you please keep in mind that your child may be the next one needing our extra attention.

  • When scheduling New Patient treatment appointments, we cannot schedule your 2nd Treatment until we receive the insurance claim payment and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) for the 1st Treatment. We will also need to collect any patient balance that might remain after the insurance claim is paid.
  • If you need to schedule your 2nd treatment before your 1st treatment insurance claim is received, we must collect the full amount of the 2nd treatment at the time of treatment and you will receive a credit balance refund check from us when the insurance claim for the 2nd treatment visit is paid.
  • All new Delta Dental patient appointments will be collected in full at the first visit so we can determine whether the patient or our office will receive the claim check. Delta Dental’s agreement with many employers requires that the claim payment be sent to the insurance holder and not to the dentist’s office.
  • For all BCBS Federal Employee Plans (FEP) we will collect in full on the day of treatment for all cleanings and treatment.
  • Missed appointments or short term cancellations (less than 48 hours notice) will result in a $50 missed appointment fee for each individual appointment.
  • Missed Saturday appointments will result in a $100 missed Saturday appointment fee for each individual appointment that was scheduled.

Automated Appointment Reminders – Must Confirm or Reschedule Appointment Promptly

As a courtesy, our automated system will send appointment notifications and text reminders that allow you to confirm or call our office to reschedule and WE ASK THAT YOU CONFIRM YOUR APPOINTMENTS WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE TEXT MESSAGE. Missed appointments or short term cancellations (less than 48 hours notice) will result in a $50 fee as they are costly to us and unfair to other patients who are in need of appointments. Please refer to the Financial Policy which you signed for important information on missed appointments and associated fees. Repeated missed appointments of any kind will result in dismissal from our practice.
